Emmanouil “Mike” Tsimouris

  • Short Bio:Since October 2016, Emmanouil “Mike” Tsimouris has been a member of OCIE’s private funds unit. He joined the investment management program of the Chicago Regional Office as a staff accountant in 2004. He has conducted numerous examinations of investment advisers, investment companies and privately offered funds. Prior to joining the staff of the Commission, Mike was an investigator with the US Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration, EBSA. While at EBSA Mike conducted investigations of ERISA covered pension plans and their service providers, including investment advisers and investment companies. In addition to his government service, Mike has held various positions in the financial services industry. These include institutional bond sales and futures trading. Mike received his B.S. from Cornell University in 1987 and his M.BA. from DePaul University in 1990. He is a Certified Public Accountant and in 1997, he earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst Designation.
