Robert Tull
Rob is a subject matter expert and thought-leader with decades of experience helping compliance and risk management professionals and their firms navigate complex issues, achieve goals, and reach development objectives. He has been at the forefront of educating and mentoring compliance and risk management professionals, helping them find sustainable solutions within resources, energy, and time constraints. Rob’s value goes beyond the regulatory and technical expertise that comes with years of regulatory, in-house, and consulting experience; he guides and nurtures the growth and development of the whole person to have a more rewarding and fulfilling career and life. From 2008 - 2022, Rob was the Chief Compliance for CBRE Investment Management Listed Real Assets (f/k/a CBRE Clarion), a global investment management firm specializing in real asset securities. Rob was also concurrently the Chief Compliance Officer for the CBRE Global Real Estate Income Fund (NYSE: IGR), a registered closed-end fund traded on the NYSE. In addition to his role with CBRE Investment Management, Rob also served as the Global Chief Compliance Officer for CBRE Global Investors business line as well as the Chief Compliance Officer for CBRE Global Investors Americas’ regulated businesses. Rob began his career with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as an examiner before joining a compliance consulting firm. Rob earned a Masters in Jurisprudence in Business Law with a Concentration in Compliance from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Villanova University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Securities Compliance Professional (CSCP), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), and Certified Professional Coach (CPC). Rob is also a former chairperson and board member for the National Society of Compliance Professionals. Rob was an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas Law School and co-instructor for the law school's CSCP preparatory and certification course.
