Elizabeth Bowling

Elizabeth Bowling is an Assistant Commissioner with the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance, where she is over the Securities Division. She is a member of the North American Securities Administrators Association’s Board of Directors, and serves as the chair for both the Exams Advisory Committee and the Small Business/Limited Offering Project Group. Bowling also served on the NASAA Regulation Best Interest Working Group and is a member of the Securities and Insurance Licensing Association’s NASAA Engagement Task Force.

Prior to joining the Securities Division in 2015, Bowling was a General Counsel in the financial services industry for more than 14 years. She earned her law degree from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and a minor in Business from Wesleyan College.
